With 'House of Silence' (2003), De Mijlpaal began a series of contemporary artistic interventions in the Hasselt city centre. On the occasion of the seven-year Virga Jesse celebrations, a historic building that had successively served as a mansion became a place for space, time and contemplation. Mainly black-white works by local and international artists provided an oasis of calm and reflection.
